Raag Description :

​

This is a very melodious and straightforward Raag. In this Raag both Gandhars are used, Shuddha Gandhar in Aaroh and Komal Gandhar in Avroh. But in Avroh, both the Gandhars may be used simultaneously like: P m G m G g S.

Meend is used to render from Komal Gandhar to Shadj(S). And while rendering m g S, Shadj is used as a Kan-Swar before Gandhar like m (S)g S.

In Uttarang, sometimes while ascending towards Tar Shadj, Nishad is rendered in Meend using Tar Shadj (Sa') as a Kan-Swar, like - G m P (S')n S', which makes Nishad a bit more raised then the regular Komal Nishad. This is a Meend Pradhan Raag which can be rendered freely in all the three octaves.
